Sports Olympics for Camps in Serbia

Guest blog from our partners Collective Aid

Last week our volunteers organized a sports olympics within Obrenovac Transit Center! Residents were able to join teams to participate in matches of football and cricket.

Everyday we had 50-100 residents show up to either play or cheer on other teams. The last two days were set aside for the finals where volunteers got to make and serve lemonade.

Activities like these benefit refugees with team building and physical activity. It also lets our projects work together! Volunteers and beneficiaries at Azadi Community Center helped to write and decorate signs and scoreboards. We look forward to holding more events like this in the future!

Big Love,
