Sea is safer? - Aegean, Greece

The three dead were all children.

This small fiberglass boat sank in the Aegean between Turkey and Greece this morning. It was carrying 34 people when it’s maximum capacity was eight.

By some miracle this tiny overcrowded boat made it to within 50 meters of shore thankfully meaning most people survived, swimming and wading to shore.... But three children didn’t make it. Their parents’ grief.

How desperate would YOU have to be to put your children in this boat, in the dark, in the cold? How desperate must these people have been?

You have to understand,
that no puts their children in a boat
unless the water is safer than the land.
